3 cups sweet onions, finely diced (raw or caramelized)
¹⁄₃ cup brown sugar (if caramelizing onions)
2 cups grated Swiss cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
¹⁄₂ tsp salt
¹⁄₂ tsp pepper
¹⁄₂ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

For caramelized onions: Sauté onions on medium heat with brown sugar until soft and bubbly, about 10 minutes. Let cool slightly.
For raw onions: Dice finely and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine onions (caramelized or raw), Swiss cheese, mayo, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until evenly mixed.
